Ashcroft EL Industrial Bimetal Thermometer

The Ashcroft® EL is the liquid-filled member of Ashcroft’s industrial bimetal thermometer line. Silicone fill in the hermetically sealed case damps the movement, so the pointer flutters less and stays readable on high-vibration equipment and piping; the fill also improves response time. Like the dry EI, the EL has an external adjustment for quick, limited recalibration from the back of the case. Accuracy is ±1% of span, with ranges from -40/120°F to 50/550°F (-40/100°C to 0/300°C).

The fill sets limits the dry models don’t have. Mount the EL where the case stays below 150°F (65°C); ranges top out at 550°F, and the window is polycarbonate, so glass and safety glass aren’t offered. Dials come in 3 and 5 inches with a rear (back) or Everyangle™ connection; there is no lower-connection EL. For higher ranges, a lower connection or a glass window, choose the dry Ashcroft EI bimetal thermometer; for no field adjustment at all, the tamper-resistant Ashcroft CI bimetal thermometer.
