The Simpson SE Quadrature Dual-Shaft Encoder is Simpson Electric’s cube-style position sensor for length, RPM, and rotational-position feedback. It ships as a direct drop-in for existing other-brand cube-style quadrature encoders – dimensions match the industry-standard cube footprint that most machine builders spec, and the four mounting-hole pattern is the same on the base flange as at both shaft ends. The double-ended flat-keyed shaft allows either-side coupling from one SKU, which typically eliminates the left-hand / right-hand version line item that other brands require and simplifies spare-parts consolidation across multiple machines on the same production floor.

Simpson rates the chrome-steel bearings at 20 percent longer service life than the stainless bearings used on comparable cube-style encoders, and the on-body LEDs verify quadrature output during commissioning without hooking up a scope. The SE line is spec’d across five pulses-per-revolution options (SE-060 / SE-100 / SE-120 / SE-360 / SE-600) plus the Chariot mount, flexible coupling, measuring wheel, and cable assembly accessories – and pairs directly with the Simpson S660-series counters (S660 for totalization, S661 for rate, S662 for batch/dual, S663 for combined rate and total, S664 for frequency) for a complete length-measurement system on a single line item.
