Titan YS 69-SS Y Strainer, Wye Type Stainless Steel Strainer, Butt Weld End, ASME Class 1500
The Titan Flow Control Model YS69-SS is an ASME Class 1600 stainless steel Wye Type Y Strainer with Schedule 160 butt weld ends. The YS69-CS has a rugged-high quality design ideal for high-pressure applications, large straining capacity, precision machined seats, self-cleaning capability, and encapsulated ‘CG’ style gasket to prevent gasket blowout. Titan YS Model Y Strainers are installed on piping systems to protect pumps, meters, spray nozzles, compressors, turbines, and other expensive equipment.
Features
- Rugged, high quality design with reinforced screens and heavy gauge to prevent damage to the straining element in high-pressure applications
- Large body, and sizeable straining element provide excellent open area ratios that are typically 2 1/2 times larger than corresponding pipeline
- Precision machined screen seats in both the body and the cap for accurate positioning
- Unit can be fitted with a blow-down valve which facilitates cleaning of the straining element
- Encapsulated 'CG' style cover gasket provides additional radial strength to prevent gasket blowout, all while acting as a compression stop
- Schedule 160 butt weld ends
- Stainless steel is commonly specified for high temperature service, up to 1000°F in continuous service
