Titan BS 55-CI Cast Iron Simplex Basket Strainer, Flat Face Flanged End, Clamped Cover, ASME Class 125
The Titan Flow Control Model BS55-CI is an epoxy painted, lead-free cast iron ASME Class 125 simplex basket strainer with a clamped cover, and flat face flanged ends. This model basket type strainer comes standard with a plugged side drain connection, and larger sizes come with removeable adjustable leg brackets. The BS55-CI has a large body with sizeable straining element, and features a machined seat with o-ring that enables fine filtrations down to 40 microns. In comparison to Wye Strainers, basket strainers are commonly used in pipelines where debris loading is high, and the collection of solids is required. Simplex basket strainers from Titan FCI can be installed in a series to provide more effective filtration of unwanted debris.
