The Skinner Company Service Saddle (Model SS)
The Skinner Company, Skinner-Seal®, Model SS Service Saddle is made of ductile iron with a plated steel bolt with an easily accessible nut, and is used for making gas, oil, and water service connections. The Model SS has a uniform bearing around the pipe to eliminate crushing the pipe. The Skinner-Seal service saddle is equipped with Skinner’s specially compounded Buna-N gasket which is placed in a recess to prevent blowing out under high pressure.
