Anderson Greenwood (AGCO) M5, M51 Gauge Valves
The Anderson Greenwood M5 gauge valve delivers compact, lightweight performance, enabling precise gauge positioning without the need for extra piping penetrations. For severe service applications, the M51 gauge valve features a rugged metal-seated bonnet designed specifically for pressures up to 10,000 psig (690 barg).
Both models feature three 1/2” FNPT outlet ports, providing a multi-port flexibility for your instrumentation tie-ins. Every stem utilizes rolled, lubricated threads to prevent galling, and a patented PTFE packing gland allows for easy in-service adjustments. BriceBarclay actively stocks a wide variety of these AGCO M5 and M51 gauge valves in 316 Stainless Steel (soft and metal seated) for fast fulfillment.
Key Features:
- Three ½” FNPT outlet ports standard
- Male or female inlet options
- Available in threaded or welded configurations
- Standard or extended inlet length options
- Widely used pressure ratings
- Compact, space-saving design
Bonnet Assembly Options
The Anderson Greenwood M5 gauge valve offers two primary configurations. As a result, users can choose between an integral metal seat or a roddable soft-seated design with replaceable seats. Furthermore, the M51 variant comes with a metal-seated bonnet for 10,000 psig (690 barg) service. Every stem features rolled, lubricated threads to prevent galling. Additionally, our patented PTFE packing allows for in-service adjustments. Each unit includes a bonnet locking pin for safety and a protective dust cap.
Soft-Seat & Metal-Seat Configuration
The soft-seated model features a one-piece rotating stem and plug design. Consequently, it includes an adjustable PTFE packing gland. Users can also opt for a FKM O-ring with PTFE back-up ring for enhanced sealing. The metal-seated version utilizes a rotating stem with free swivel ball-type seat. Therefore, this design excels in both gas and liquid applications. The high-pressure AGCO M51 incorporates a reinforced stem and larger T-bar handle.
High-Temperature Applications
The AGCO M5 gauge valve features a specialized Graphite bonnet option. Moreover, this design incorporates adjustable graphite and back-up pressure rings. These components ensure reliable, leak-free performance in high-temperature environments.
Features
- Cost savings through minimized components and process penetrations for multiple instrument installations with reduced possible leak points
- Compact design minimizes space requirements; low weight improves connection strength and reduces gauge whip
- Long body option allows up to 4" (102 mm) pipe insulation
- Replaceable soft seat and can operate in dirty service with repetitive bubble-tight shutoff
- Repairable metal seat can be resurfaced without removing the valve from the line
- Ball end stem eliminates seat galling, provides bub ble-tight shutoff and long life
- Hardened, non-rotating ball ensures perfect alignment closure
- Packing below threads prevents lubricant washout, thread corrosion, process contamination and eliminates galling
- Easily adjustable packing decreases replacement down time
- Safety back seating prevents stem blowout or accidental removal and provides a metal-to-metal secondary stem seal while in the fully open position
- ENC plated 316 SS prevents galling or freezing of stem threads
- Rolled stem, bonnet and male NPT threads provide additional strength
- Mirror stem finish in the packing area enables smooth operation and extends packing life
- Metal-to-metal body-to-bonnet seal in constant compression prevents bonnet thread corrosion, eliminates possible tensile breakage and gives a reliable seal point.
