Simpson Electric S662 Preset Batch/Dual Counter

The Simpson S662 is the batch and dual-mode variant of the S660 counter family. In DUAL mode it runs two independent counters on one display with separate scaling and reset – useful for good-part / reject-part tracking on inspection stations, two-line consolidation on parallel conveyors, or shift-count vs. cumulative-count on presses. In BATCH mode a primary totalizer runs continuously and a secondary batch counter increments each time the primary hits its preset, which is the pattern for bagging, cartoning, and pallet-count operations where the total number of batches matters as much as the pieces per batch.

Non-volatile EEPROM retains counts through power interruptions – a re-energized batch resumes where it stopped rather than restarting – which typically saves operator time on shift changes and unplanned outages. Latching, boundary, or timed (0.01 to 599.99 second) relay output modes make the S662 the natural counter for automated bagging (timed pulse to a discharge gate), palletizing (latched output on batch completion), and inspection stations (boundary output between good-part and reject-part thresholds).
