Shurjoint 7705 Standard Flexible Ductile Iron Coupling

The Shurjoint Model 7705 is a highly versatile standard flexible coupling designed specifically to accommodate system expansion, contraction, and deflection in grooved piping networks. Constructed from durable ductile iron, it is an essential component for irregular piping layouts or systems exposed to seismic and thermal movement.

BriceBarclay is a supplier of the Shurjoint 7705 series. We keep a large inventory of these flexible couplings on the shelf, allowing our commercial and industrial clients to secure exactly what they need our ready to ship options.

Features

  • Housing: ductile iron to ASTM A536, Gr 65-45-12 and/or to ASTM A395, Gr 65-45-15, minimum tensile strength 65,000 psi (448 MPa)
  • Rubber gasket: grade E-pw EPDM (Color code: Double Green stripe) approved under NSF/ANSI 61, and NSF/ANSI 372 for potable water service to 180°F (+82°C)
  • Rubber gasket is also used for services for water with acid, water with chlorine, deionized water, seawater and waste water, dilute acids, oil-free air, and many chemicals
  • Surface finish: standard painted finishes in orange or RAL3000 red, hot dipped zinc or colored epoxy coatings optional
  • Can be used on both carbon, steel, and stainless steel pipe
  • Nuts and bolts: Heat treated carbon manganese steel track bolts to ASTM A449-83a (or A183 Gr. 2), minimum tensile strength 110,000 psi (758 MPa), zinc electroplated, with heavy-duty hexagonal nuts to ASTM A563
