Rotork Type K AH Series Pneumatic Damper Drive
The Rotork Type K AH Series is a high-cycle pneumatic vane actuator purpose-built for the demanding service found under electrostatic precipitators on ash hopper flap gates and similar high-cycle damper applications in conventional thermal power plants. The fully enclosed design eliminates the maintenance issues associated with traditional low-pressure canister actuators by removing exposed piston rods, preventing fly ash ingestion, and protecting internal seals from the corrosive, abrasive environment beneath precipitators.
The AH Series combines a compact body with high torque output, dual-opposed lip seals for extended operational life, and a “No Play” coupling mechanism that reduces hysteresis and component wear over millions of cycles. Rotork backs the AH Series with a 2-million stroke / 3-year performance warranty, making it the proven replacement for legacy damper drives on precipitator service.
