ISSC-Kanson 1248A Limit Style Proximity Sensor, Motion Detector
The ISSC-Kanson Model 1248A combines proximity sensing and speed detection in one limit-style unit. This self-contained device installs easily with a two-wire circuit like a standard limit switch. The plug-in receptacle saves installation time. Users can select from three speed ranges covering 5 to 7500 pulses per minute.
Additionally, the unit features an adjustable start time delay from 0 to 20 seconds. The LED indicator shows when the output is energized. A target adjustment mode helps with setup and calibration. Furthermore, the device operates on 20 to 250 VAC/DC power supplies.
Moreover, the fire-retardant ABS polycarbonate housing provides NEMA 1, 3, 4, 6, 12, 13, and IP67 environmental protection. The sensing distance reaches 12.7mm (0.5 inches) for 40mm x 40mm mild steel targets. Therefore, the 1248A excels in harsh industrial environments requiring both proximity detection and motion monitoring.
Features
- Compact limit switch housing
- Output de-energized when monitored motion is below speed set point
- Output energizes when monitored motion reaches or exceeds speed set point
- Energized output will no de-energize until monitored motion drops below speed set point
- Output automatically resets-energizes when monitored speed again reaches speed set point
