Fairchild M30 Compact Pressure Regulator
The Fairchild Model 30 midget precision regulator brings full-size accuracy to tight panels, OEM machinery, and dense instrument racks. Like its larger Model 10 sibling, it uses force-balance control: the range spring works against downstream pressure on the diaphragm assembly, and a rolling-diaphragm-balanced supply valve keeps the output constant through wide supply variations. An aspirator tube adjusts the supply valve with flow velocity to hold pressure steady under changing demand, while a separate control chamber keeps the diaphragm out of the main flow to prevent hunting and buzzing.
Despite the compact aluminum body, flow capacity matches regulators twice its size, making the Model 30 a strong fit where panel space is the constraint rather than capacity. Unit construction lets you service the regulator in place without breaking pipe connections. Inlet and outlet ports are 1/4″ or 3/8″ NPT with 1/8″ NPT gauge ports, and standard construction is nitrile on Dacron diaphragms with brass trim.
Factory options include low bleed and low flow trims, non-relieving construction for captive gases, silicone or fluorocarbon (Viton) elastomers, and BSPP or BSPT threads. Tamper-proof, screwdriver adjust, plunger-operated, and panel mount configurations are available, along with a dedicated mounting bracket (P/N 21667-1).
