Fairchild HPD High Pressure Regulator
The Fairchild HPD high pressure regulator provides precise, drift-free control of gas or liquid supply pressures up to 6,000 psig. The body, housing, and supply valve are machined from alloy 316L stainless steel, and the diaphragm is fatigue-resistant alloy X-750 Inconel, which eliminates the setpoint drift common to elastomer-sensed designs and provides long-term accuracy and stability. Metal-to-metal and PTFE sealing means the regulator never contaminates the process medium with rubber elastomers.
A stainless steel supply valve rides on a polymer seat with a patent-pending sealing design that eliminates the media leakage risk often associated with conventional high pressure regulators. Three seat materials tailor the pressure and temperature envelope: PEEK and Vespel carry the full 6,000 psig rating and reach 500 °F at reduced inlet pressure, while CTFE covers economical service to 3,500 psig. Seats rated above 175 °F pair with the tamper-proof adjustment.
Configuration choices include two supply valve flow capacities, five output ranges, and two- or four-port bodies (single or dual inlet/outlet) in 1/4″ NPTF, BSPT, or SAE AS5202-4 threads. Knob, tamper-proof, and panel mount actuator styles are available in relieving or non-relieving construction, the latter delivering bubble-tight shutoff in most conditions. A dome-loaded variant (DHP) and the piston-sensed HPP for outputs to 3,000 psig round out the family; contact us to quote either.
