Anderson Greenwood (AGCO) H1 Instrumentation Hand Valve – Standard

The Anderson Greenwood H1 hand valve excels in instrument isolation applications. This precision needle valve delivers reliable bubble-tight shutoff for pressures up to 10,000 psig (689 barg). Moreover, it meets rigorous NACE requirements when specified.

Key Features:

  • Bubble-tight shutoff capability
  • 10,000 psig pressure rating available
  • 316 stainless steel or carbon steel options
  • Multiple end connection choices
  • Various seat materials available
  • Customizable stem packing
  • NACE-compliant versions

Design Construction

The AGCO H1 hand valve features a soft-seated bonnet assembly. Furthermore, its one-piece rotating stem and plug ensure smooth operation. This design maximizes performance while simplifying maintenance. The stem utilizes rolled, lubricated threads to prevent galling. Therefore, operators experience reduced operating torque. Users can choose between patented PTFE packing with in-service adjustment or FKM O-Ring with PTFE back-up ring.

Safety Features

Every AGCO H1 hand valve includes critical safety elements. A protective dust cap shields stem lubricant from contamination. Additionally, a bonnet locking pin prevents accidental removal during operation.

Features

  • Soft seat replaceable valve operates in dirty service with repetitive bubble-tight shutoff
  • Packing below threads prevents lubricant washout, thread corrosion, process contamination, and eliminates galling
  • Easily adjustable PTFE packing decreases replacement downtime
  • Dust cover protects stem from lubricant contamination
  • Safety back seating prevents stem blowout or accidental removal, and provides a metal-to-metal secondary stem seal while in the fully open position
  • ENC plated 316 SS stem prevents galling or freezing of stem threads
  • CS valves use a 303 SS stem for 'hard-to-soft' contact, to prevent galling
  • Rolled stem and bonnet threads for added strength
  • Mirror stem finish in the packing area
  • Straight-through flow for high flow capacity, bi-directional flow and rodding capabilities
  • Metal-to-metal body-to-bonnet seal in constant compression prevents bonnet thread corrosion, eliminates possible tensile breakage, and gives a reliable seal point
