Seal Pots | Condensate Chambers

BriceBarclay is a trusted distributor of seal pots and condensate chambers – specialized vessels used to isolate pressure instruments from hot, corrosive, or high-pressure process media and to manage condensate in steam measurement systems. These components protect pressure gauges, transmitters, and differential pressure instruments from direct contact with the process, extending instrument life and preserving measurement accuracy.

Seal pots (also called seal chambers or seal reservoirs) are filled with a compatible buffer fluid that transmits process pressure to the instrument through a liquid column, while physically separating the instrument from the process media. They are specified wherever direct contact would damage the instrument – high-temperature service, corrosive chemical streams, viscous or solidifying media, and high-vibration applications around pumps and compressors.

Condensate chambers (also called condensate pots) collect and stabilize condensed steam upstream of pressure instruments in steam flow and pressure measurement. By providing a water-column reservoir at a consistent level, condensate chambers protect instruments from steam-hammer damage and deliver the stable impulse-line conditions required for accurate differential-pressure measurement.
