The Spence Series 2000 self-actuated temperature regulator is a simple mechanical device that requires no external energy source for operation. The actuation forces (contained within the thermal system) are only dependent upon the process temperature and required control point.
The Series 2000 may be utilized on any application that requires regulation of heating or cooling media. Typical applications for direct-acting regulators could be described as any process requiring heat by steam or hot water such as: bottle washing machinery, steam tables for heating food, plating tanks, heating ducts, fuel oil heaters, cooking vats, water heaters, heat exchangers and parts washers.
Typical applications for reverse-acting regulators can be described as any process or machinery requiring controlled cooling by water or brine such as: induction furnaces, industrial compressors, cold storage boxes, cooling ducts, engine jacket cooling and liquid chillers.
